In class, we were told to read an article that our teacher gave us. After reading this article, I was to write what I thought about it. I really liked this article and I think man students should read it too. I know that in some classes I have, I see a lot of students not doing their work and simply not caring about anything they do. I understand that sometimes it feels like school work can be to challenging but the truth is that its not. These students are just quitting because they think they will never need this information or they just don't care. It's time to start caring!

April 14

This weekend, I went to saw my grandmother. When I arrived, we started to talk and she told me about how her ipad was broken. She said that her mail wasn't working and she was not getting any messages from Facebook and she couldn't figure out her Apple ID or password. So I told her to go to the app store and start to download an app. The store asked for the password and it also told us her apple ID at the top so I was able to reset her password and get that working. Then we moved on to the messages. She just needed to download the new Messenger for Facebook and then suddenly she was getting all these messages that were sent to her. Then lastly was her email. I reset her password and we were able to get her in. I kid you not, she had over 7,000 emails. So the rest of the night was basically my grandmother deleting her emails. So that was fun.

If images are on the internet they should be "free game". 

No, because people post photos to show the world and for people to see. It's not okay to claim a photo as yours, if you didn't make it. However, if you edit the photo and turn it into a different photo, I think its okay to call it your photo as long as you say that you edited this photo from another person. I think it would be okay, but no one can just claim a photo to be theirs if it's not. That would be the same as plagiarism.

Today I got to see my classmates websites. I really liked Photoshop was used with some websites. I know how hard Photoshop can be sometimes and my classmates did really well. Another thing I likes is how when you scroll across the nav bar the words you have your mouse over become bigger. That is something I would have wanted on my website. I also like how some students programmed a picture to stay in one place as you scroll up and down on the wen site and I think that made their website more impressive. That is also something I would have wanted to include on my website. I wasn't totally satisfied with my website because some of my text boxes were off centered.  I also would make my font bigger if I had more time. I really liked this assignment though because I think its really important to practice making resumes for colleges and jobs in the future.

The coolest thing we have done in Web Design is actually making websites and having them work. I think it's really exciting and it helps students in the future because the more skill you have with technology, especially now, the easier it will become to be employed and get a good career. Plus, you will be able to put more info about your technology skills on your resume.

Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design? Explain yourself.


User experience is when a person has opinions or attitudes toward a product or service online or more less including technology. It relates to web design because in our class, we have lots of user experience with the different programs we use like notepad++ and Codecademy. Web Design user experience would be our experience with making websites and the products we make the websites with.

What is a resume website? What do people put on resume websites. Spend about 5-10 minutes looking up resume websites and what they are used for. Explain what you find. Include an image of a resume website if possible.

A resume website is a website that shows a person and what they have done, what jobs the might have had, what skills they have, schools they went to, and degrees they might have. This person will put all the information they need onto this website in order for employers to lookout and pick from other candidates. In my search, I found different examples of resume websites and websites that help you make resume for yourself. I also found a website that gives you different templates to put your info on and work off of the template.

This weekend I was with my dad. We went to see a performance at the KU University which was a competition for which sorority had the best mini musical. It was really fun and everyone did really well. Although I feel bad for the first three performances who didn't get any awards. It was really impressive because each group had to write a song, make the costumes, make the props and background. Good job everyone! Then on sunday, my dad and I played the first halo!

If I was the principal for a week, I would try to bring in more fresh made food for the cafeteria. I would try to provide more healthier alternatives for food. I would also put out a crossing guard for the cross walk, because cars just don't stop sometimes!

This weekend I saw The Book of Mormon with my mom and her friend. I thought it was really funny. I'm really happy i went with them! But now I see why people think this musical is a little offensive. But my favorite song in that musical is Turn It Off.

This weekend, I was with my dad. We went on a photography walk at the Arboretum and I got so pretty decent pictures. Later we made a chicken stir-fry! It tasted amazing. Then on Sunday, my dad and I played a little bit of Halo from the Master Chief Edition.

My perfect classes would be classes for preparation in the work place and also classes for working with people and what to do in emergency's. I think my classes would be very different, it wouldn't be as much reading as talking about realistic things to expect in your life and with how to work with people varying in who they are and how they work. i would spend every minute focused on these lessons because I would know I really need to know how to do all this, especially if an emergency  did occur.

Color can convey a lot of emotion when it comes to designing anything from a product to a website to an advertisement to a logo and so much more. What do you think the importance of colors on a website are? What is a color scheme and why is it important to have when designing? Explain any thoughts you might have around color in design.


As I am studying right now, colors can make a person feel a specific way. For example, the color blue is preferred by many people because it is a calming color and makes people think of the ocean or the sky. So if you can use color on your product or website, you make make people feel either very happy or sad depending on what color and what shade you use.

If I went through the whole day with less work but more focused then normal, I guess I could adapt to only focusing on what I need to as I go along. However, you should consider the fact that if we keep focused at one thing at a time, we might miss all the other events in our life. Let's say you have to focus on school work like math, but at the same time we could be missing out on spending time with the people around us like family. I suppose you could block out time for certain tasks at a time but we can't just watch our life go by on task at a time. We would miss a lot of good moments.

Well one of the coolest things I learned is how to build a basic skeleton of a website. I want to learn how to put in background designs on a website.

Well, I decided not to go to the school sweetheart dance because I didn't really want to go. So this weekend my mom and I spent time with my grandma and played Scrabble! It was fun! Also my mom and I watched the super bowl commercials, but since we don't like football we only watched the commercials. By the way, that puppy commercial though!

A wireframe is like a page layout of content and you can organize where you want everything to be using a wireframe. People use it to help make there content organized and look just how they want.

This weekend I volunteered with my friend. We helped with painting a ceiling and organizing materials. Always fun...anyway then my dad and I watch some Fools and Horses and we made some vegetable soup. Yay!

The music for this generation is not even really that good! Older music is better because there was no base in the back but instruments and great singers! Plus the world needs to stop with saying hash tag while they talk to people!

For me, I think the hardest part about Web Design is remembering all the codes. I know that the most frustrating thing is when there is something wrong with my code and nothing is working, and I don't know what is wrong or how to fix it! So that gives me some anxiety. Plus I think this class can go a little fast sometimes so if you fall behind, its really hard to catch up, especially if something else goes wrong and you fall more behind. I don't really think I am great at this class so far but I'm going to keep trying and hopefully it will become easier as I go, in this semester. :)

My 3 day weekend! On Saturday, I did some volunteer service with my friend all day. Then on Sunday, I had lunch with my mom at one of our favorite restaurants. Then on Monday, my mom and I played board games and watched Sherlock on Netflix.

Hello! I'm a freshmen right now and this year has been really weird. This year I joined the Gender Equality Club, which I love so much! <3. This year I was finding out a little more about who I am and what I think I want to do as a career. For example, after taking an art class that involved drawing and painting, I realized I don't have much of a career in this area because I came to the realization that I don't have a lot of skill in this area. But it hasn't been a total loss! Some of my favorite classes so far have been a class I am taking on healthy life style and food choices. I can't wait for next year, because hopefully I can take a class in photography and in sociology. :)

My thoughts for this class, is that its hard for me personally because i havn't really coded anything before. So its challenging trying to remember all the codes I know so far like for pictures and links. But overall, I like this class and I think its really interesting class. However, I don't like the idea of having people look at my blog because I really don't like my picture.

I spent the weekend with my dad. On Saturday, my dad and I had brunch and went to see the movie Wild. Then, my dad's girlfriend came over and we played board games together. On Sunday, My dad and I video chatted with my family across the sea in England and we watched some T.V shows together like The Daily Show and The Big Bang Theory.
